How to use FamousFour LIVEQuote
What is it?
LIVEQuote is a system for quickly obtaining quotes for a
list of new parts, with the option of contacting Famous Four
Products Ltd. for a more
comprehensive quote including carriage and VAT (if applicable).
Creating your LIVEQuote List
How do I add a part to the list?
Currently, the LIVEQuote system is usable in the New Parts section of
our website. Any list or search in the New Parts section will list parts
with an ADD button and a quantity next to them. Simply enter the quantity
and click ADD and the part will be added to your LIVEQuote list.
Why is the part I added highlighted in blue?
You will notice that any part you add to the LIVEQuote list will be highlighted
in blue and will have a button that says UPDATE next to it rather than
ADD. The quantity is the quantity of this item currently on your LIVEQuote
list. You can change this quantity and click 'UPDATE' at any time to change
the quantity.
Can I keep track of my LIVEQuote as I add parts?
At any time, at any place in the website, the top of the left-hand side
navigation bar (where the links to all our website's section are) contains
a blue box titled 'LIVEQuote'. This is a summary of your LIVEQuote and
updates to show every tie you add, change or remove a part.
I've added all the parts I need, how do I view the LIVEQuote list?
Click on 'View Your LIVEQuote' to view the list. There is a button for
this at the top-left of every page in the blue 'LIVEQuote' status box,
and also at the bottom of every parts list or search. Clicking either
will take you to your list, where you can view your total (please not
this EXCLUDES carriage and VAT), and also change or delete the contents
of the list.
How do I delete a part from my LIVEQuote list?
If you are on the parts list or search where you added the part, simply
set the quantity to '0' (zero) and click 'UPDATE' on that part. This will
remove the part. Don't worry if the quantity says '1' over the ADD button
afterwards, if it is not highlighted blue it is not in your LIVEQuote
list anymore.
If you are in the 'Your LIVEQuote' page you can remove any part in the
list by clicking the red button with the white cross on. This will remove
ALL of that item from your LIVEQuote list.
I have too many of a part in my LIVEQuote list, can I change that?
In the 'Your LIVEQuote' page, the list of parts has a Quantity box next
to each part. You can change any of these and click the 'Update LIVEQuote'
button below the list.
I found a part somewhere else in your website, can I add it to my LIVEQuote?
Currently the LIVEQuote list only works inside the New Parts section
of our website, as this is what the majority of our customers request
quotations for. However, if you have found a part you would like to enquire
about elsewhere in the site, you can add it as an Additional Enquiry when
you submit a LIVEQuote Enquiry (see below).
Submitting a LIVEQuote Enquiry
Can I order online?
Currently, LIVEQuote DOES NOT allow ordering online. Our aim is for the
system to become a full ordering system at some stage, however we are
still in the processing of developing this. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT CREDIT
CARD OR BANK DETAILS ON YOUR LIVEQuote ENQUIRY.
I have made a LIVEQuote list, can I get a full quote, including Carriage
and VAT (if applicable)?
LIVEQuote will automatically present you with a total price for the parts
in your LIVEQuote list. This total excludes Carriage and VAT. If you would
like a full quotation click the 'Submit Enquiry' button below the LIVEQuote
list. A Window will pop up asking you for a few details that will allow
us to give you an accurate estimate of your carriage, as well as being
able to check if the parts on your list are suitable for your vehicle.
What details must I give to submit a LIVEQuote Enquiry?
We are always conscious that people are wary of giving out their personal
details. As such we only ask for the details we require to fulfill your
enquiry effectively. We ask that you provide a name, details of you location
and details of your vehicle. If you wish to submit an enquiry by e-mail
we will also request your e-mail address. It is in your interest to provide
us with as much detail as possible about your vehicle (VIN Number, year
of build etc.) and your delivery location (Town/City, Postal/ZIP Code
etc.) in order for us to quote you accurately.
Can I submit an enquiry without making a LIVEQuote list?
Yes. At the top of every parts list or search there is a button labelled
'Submit General Enquiry'. This will pop up a form that will allow you
to e-mail a general enquiry to us. The form requires you to supply the
nature of your enquiry, a name, details of you location and details of
your vehicle. If the delivery location is not relevant you may fill it
in as 'n/a'.
